We don't sell your personal data. We don't ask for, or knowingly collect, sensitive data. OhmNook is not directed at children under 16.
Cookies
- Necessary cookies make the site work and remember your cookie choice. They are always on.
- Analytics and marketing cookies are only set if you accept them in the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time by clearing the
site_consentcookie in your browser, which shows the banner again.
Affiliate links
When you click a link to a retailer and buy something, the retailer or affiliate network (such as Awin or Impact) may use cookies or similar technology to record that the sale came from OhmNook, so they can pay us a commission. These companies process that data under their own privacy policies. We only receive sales reports; we don't receive your name or payment details.

Who we share data with
We use trusted service providers to run the website. They only process data on our instructions:
- Hosting: our website and database run on servers operated by Hetzner Online GmbH (in the EU).
- Security and delivery: Cloudflare, which protects the site and delivers pages quickly.
- Email: our email provider, to receive and answer messages.
We may also share data if the law requires it.
International transfers
Some providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as UK adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum.
How long we keep data
- Server logs: up to 90 days.
- Link click statistics: kept as totals, which don't identify you.
- Messages: up to 2 years after our last reply, unless we need them longer for a legal reason.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, restrict or object to how we use it, or receive a copy of it. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
