About OhmNook
Home office tech, explained simply
OhmNook helps people who work from home choose the right tech: laptops, monitors, docks, keyboards and mice, webcams, Wi-Fi, storage, and the desk and chair that hold it all together. We also cover single-board computers and mini PCs, for anyone who wants to run a small home server alongside their work setup.
Why we started
Working from home became normal for millions of people in 2020, including our founder, K Curtis. Setting up a home office meant sorting through endless product listings, confusing specs and "best of" lists that all seemed to say something different.
OhmNook is the guide we wanted back then: clear explanations, honest recommendations, and advice built around how people actually work from home.
What we believe
- Facts first. Every recommendation starts with research: specifications, manufacturer information, independent sources, and hands-on use where we can. We say which applies in each article.
- Plain English. We explain the tech so you can make your own decision, not just follow ours.
- Honest trade-offs. No product is perfect. We point out the drawbacks as clearly as the strengths.
- Value, not just price. We link to reputable retailers and judge products on what they're worth, not on chasing the lowest number. We don't track or show live prices on the site.
